89 Year Old Charged After Hitting Two Youth in Fail to Remain

Grey Bruce OPP have charged an 89 year old after a fail to remain crash in Markdale which injured two youth.

On March 21st just after 10:30am police were called to a collision between a vehicle and two pedestrians at the intersection of Toronto Street North and Grey Road 12 where the driver had left the scene.

Police attended the scene and determined the youths were crossing the crosswalk when they were hit, both were treated for minor injuries and did not need to be taken to hospital.

Police viewed video surveillance and were able to locate the driver.

As a result an 89 year old from Meaford has been charged with Failure to Yield to Pedestrian on Roadway, Failing to Remain and Failure to Report an Accident.
