A Georgian Bluffs councilor has had her pay suspended for one month after being found to have spent years intimidating property owners over a bylaw dispute.
An Integrity Commissioner report says councilor Cathy Moore Coburn overstepped her role in a battle between short term rental accommodations and its neighbours.
The dispute is said to have been going on since 2020.
To avoid any future issues, Georgian Bluffs has launched a hotline to deal with issues around short term accommodations with the service launching today.
