The province is investing $28 million for a new Bluewater District School Board elementary school in Dundalk.

The new school will be in addition to two existing schools, Highpoint Community and Dundalk and Proton Community Schools which will stay open.

The project is part of a $1.3 billion plan which more than doubles the funding to build new schools and expansions including child care spaces.

In a release MPP Rick Byers for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound says this investment will support the creation of 735 student spaces and 54 licensed child care spaces as part of the governments commitment to building state of the art learning spaces for Ontario students.
