Grey-Bruce OPP kept busy over the weekend patrolling the waters to make sure all users were operating safely.
On June 15th, the marine unit hit the waters off Tobermory checking 10 boats along with 64 kayaks and one canoe.
One person, a 39 year old from Huntsville was charged with operating without a personal flotation device or life jacket of appropriate size for each person on board.
On June 16th, also on the waters in Tobermory, 6 boats, 44 kayaks and canoes were checked with a 26 year old charged.
On June 17th while on Georgian Bay police helped tow a vessel back to harbour when it wasn’t working.
