With another hot day ahead and summer right around the corner, Bruce County is planning for future heat events across the area.
The Bruce County Emergency Management Program says its best to be prepared for heat waves such as paying attention to weather forecasts and alerts, make sure your air conditioner is in good working order, have plenty of water in an emergency kit and check in on family, friends and neighbours who could be vulnerable to heat illnesses.
Ray Lux, Bruce County Emergency Management Coordinator says knowing the risks associated with extreme heat will go a long way to ensuring a more enjoyable summer.
