South Bruce OPP was able to save four swimmers in distress on Monday off station beach in Kincardine.

South Bruce OPP and the marine unit responded to the scene at 7:04pm after receiving a report of swimmers yelling for help in Lake Huron.

Police were able to locate the swimmers and were taken to shore with the help of police and bystanders with one person taken to hospital as a precaution.

OPP say swimmers should not be in water that is too deep for them to manage and beachgoers should always observe the weather forecast and not mix alcohol when swimming.
