Grey Bruce Public Health has issued an Opioid alert, the 7th since June 1st.
This comes recently after one fatal overdose and three non fatal drug poisonings over the last five days.
Since July public health has reported nine reported suspected drug poisonings.
These incidents have taken place across Grey Bruce including South Bruce Peninsula, Saugeen Shores, Owen Sound and Georgian Bluffs.
Purple fentanyl is the substance suspected in the majority of these overdoses.
Public health is urging those who use drugs to have a sober friend with them to call or text the National Overdose Response Service.
