Remnants of Hurricane Beryl Hitting the Region

The remnants of Hurricane Beryl could bring some heavy rain this week in the region.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement across Southwestern Ontario with some heavy rainfall expected today and lasting into Thursday.

There is the possibility of torrential downpours bring as much as 20 to 40mm of rain per hour at times.

The weather agency says some areas could see in excess of 50 millimeters of rain.

Hurricane Beryl swarmed the Caribbean as a Category 5 storm which also hit the Windward Islands and Jamaica causing 7 deaths.
