A Belgrave farmer has been fined $4500 for operating a milk plant without a license.
Investigation from the Ministry of Agriculture was launched in June last year after they received a tip about the unlicensed operation with a search warrant launched in August.
The Ministry had found unpasteurized milk, butter and cheese which was being distributed from a farm on Marnoch Line between June-August 2023.
The farmer was convicted in April and fined $1500 for each of the three counts and a victim fine surcharge.
