On July 28th South Bruce OPP were called to the Kincardine Harbour at 12:50pm for a vessel which struck a rock off the coast on Lake Huron.

The vessel was reported to be in distress and was taking in water.

The South Bruce OPP Marine Unit along with a Good Samaritan were able to bring the vessel safely back to shore and there were no injuries reported.

OPP continue to urge boaters to make sure they have safety equipment with them including a life jacket, flares, a re-boarding device and manual bilge pump adding the time to find out its lacking is not when you need it most.
