Grey Bruce Public Health has issued yet another opioid alert after five drug poisonings were reported over the weekend including one death.
This marks the sixth time this summer of a fatal drug death across Grey-Bruce.
Three of the overdoses took place in Owen Sound with two in Walkerton.
This recent alert is the 21st issued by Public Health this year, already ahead of the 18 issued in 2023.
Fentanyl is believed to be the substance used in one of the non fatal overdoses while public health doesn’t yet know the drug of the fatal overdose.
