Province Investing in Faster Emergency Care in Huron and Bruce

The province is investing over $14 million across Huron and Bruce County’s to help connect residents to emergency care faster while also increasing the availability of ambulances.

In Huron County, the Land Ambulance Service Grant has increased by 9 per cent meaning the county will see $7,310,485 this year with Bruce County’s share increasing 6 per cent to $7,155,737.

MPP for Huron-Bruce Lisa Thompson says she is pleased to see the continued increase in funding as its an important role in overall emergency care across Huron and Bruce.

The program also allows paramedics to get back out into the community faster to provide quicker responses to 911 calls and reducing ambulance offload times.
