The Municipality of Kincardine saw its new By-Law to Regulate Native Trees on Private Property come into effect this past Sunday, September 1st.

The goal of the by-law is the preservation of the Municipality’s tree canopy and rich vegetation through the protection of healthy, mature trees.

The by-law’s only exemptions of needing a removal permit is if they are already dead or injured, are an immediate hazard to people or property or if they are simply being pruned.

More information is available at kincardine.ca/nativetrees.
