Huron-Kinloss reminds of prohibition on Backyard Chickens

The Township of Huron-Kinloss is reminding residents of its by-law restricting farm animals in residential areas of the Township.

Animals such as backyard chickens or other farm animals are prohibited in residential areas.

The rule is meant to help keep communities safe and healthy.

They advise for those looking for fresh, local food options there are plenty of choices including farm-fresh products from local businesses, Good Food boxes, or visit farms directly for fresh goods.

The By-Law restricting farm animals in residential areas is By-Law 2018-98.
