Rifle season is approaching in Bruce County and trail users are being reminded to practice safety while they go out hunting.
The rifle season for deer runs from November 4th-10th with safety tips being given to users of the trail during this time.
Users should avoid being on the trails at dawn and dusk and anytime that visibility is limited, wearing high visibility clothing or hunter orange and put similar items on your pets.
Hunters are also asked to avoid hunting along these trails, be aware you’re sharing the forest with users and other hunters and to never shoot unless they are absolutely sure of their target and what is beyond it.
