The Share the Warmth winter clothing drive held at the Knox Presbyterian Church in Kincardine saw a big turnout of those needing winter clothing for the season.

More than 30 families received coats, gloves, mitts, hats and more from the drive with items collected throughout September and October with the clothes being handed out last week on Thursday and Friday at the church.

More than 250 garments were collected with most being distributed with some leftovers.

Wendy Cox who helps run the clothing drive says in years past they have been able to send anything they have leftover to United Way but this year saw very few items remaining which she says speaks to the fact many in the Kincardine area are struggling to get by.
