Kincardine has appointed Stellina Williams as the next councilor.
Williams comes in as the Ward 1 councilor, filling the seat of Doug Kennedy who passed away in August.
Between September 23rd-October 25th nine candidates came forward and on Wednesday, council appointed Williams to the vacant position on council.
Each candidate addressed council and sharing their interest about taking the seat.
Mayor Kenneth Craig says each person took the time to put their name forward and it was not an easy decision for council to make.
Williams will be part of her first council meeting on November 13th.
