South Bruce OPP is urging residents to be cautious after a series of incidents hitting locals falling victim to cryptocurrency scams who have lost over $190,000 since last October.
OPP says most of these scams start over social media and once funds are give, victims have no way to get their money back.
OPP add those who want to invest should do research of any investment firm and to talk with your bank or the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre to avoid falling victim to scams.
