Bruce County Long Term Care & Senior Services is highlighting the dedication of a group of leaders and community members who have formed the Bruce County Age-Friendly Committee guiding initiatives to support older adults in the area.
The committee formed in June last year and consists of those in the public sector, lower-tier municipalities and various organizations who support seniors.
Megan Garland, Director of Long Term Care and Senior Services says an age friendly community is one which addresses both the opportunities and challenges of an aging population by creating an environment which promotes independent, active living.
