Over the course of Ontario Snowmobile Safety Week, OPP laid a series of charges across the west region.
Going from February 10th-17th OPP was on patrol across trails during safety week and across all west OPP detachments a total of 49 charges were laid on riders.
Most of them, 38 were documentation charges such as permits, license, registration and insurance.
Two muffler charges were also given with two impaired riding charges.
The week long campaign targeted unsafe riding behaviors which lead to death, injury and property damage both on and off Ontario snowmobiling trails.
