In response to the growing cases of measles, including locally the Kincardine Family Health Team is holding a series of measles vaccine clinics.
A clinic will be held on April 8th going from 1-4pm, encouraging those who aren’t up to date with their measles vaccination to book an appointment.
Infants six to eleven months should receive one dose of the MMR vaccine with children 1-4 years who received their first dose being encouraged to get a second dose or a minimum of four weeks from their first dose.
Adults 18 years and older born on or after 1970 are also encouraged to get a second dose if they haven’t already.
Those born before 1970 are considered immune and do not need an MMR vaccine.
