One person is out $60,000 after falling victim to a cryptocurrency scam.

Investigation in Huron-Kinloss found a victim had tried to invest in crypto through an online agency with the victim giving access to their devices and resulting in the loss of $60,000.

South Bruce OPP is urging residents to be cautious when engaging in digital currency investments as scammers will often pose as legitimate companies and lead victims down a path to surrender their personal and banking information.

OPP add if you receive any documentation which looks suspicious to contact the company or financial institution in person.
