The Bluewater District School Board has named Wayne Peeters to fill the trustee vacancy for the Township of Southgate/Grey Highlands.
Wayne was sworn in during a special meeting of the board on Tuesday after a recruitment campaign.
The position will be in effect for the remainder of the 2022-26 term of the Board of Trustees.
With over 30 years in education, Wayne has lived in Southgate/Grey Highlands since 2001 just outside of Markdale.
Chair Jane Thomson says they look forward to the experience and insight he will bring to their important work in serving the students and families of Bluewater.
