Grey Bruce Public Health has issued a drug alert for heroin which contains crystal meth.
A recent drug test of a sample of drugs brought in unexpected results with a cream/beige coloured powder being sold as heroin contained around 50 per cent heroin and 50 per cent crystal meth.
Public Health says in the event of any overdose to call 911 and administer naloxone every 2-3 minutes until the person starts breathing and to stay until help arrives.
Public health adds to always take extra caution when mixing substances as this can increase the risk of harm and drug poisonings.
