Bruce County is reminding the public to never forget your pets when planning for emergencies.
As families are encouraged to have a plan for emergencies it also helps to be prepared to care for your pets for at least 72 hours.
When packing with pets make sure to have food and water, a pet first aid kit with medications and vaccination records and any comfort items for them.
If needed to leave your home for an evacuation, its recommended to keep your animals with you if possible.
