Bruce County is offering up to $50,000 through a program which supports eligible homeowners for Additional Residential Unit construction.
The Affordable Additional Residential Unit Funding Program is open for those who have room in their backyard for a small home or could renovate their basement into an apartment are welcome to apply for financial support to get a rental unit on their property.
Up to $50,000 is available in funding for homeowners who apply.
Tina Metcalfe, Bruce County’s Director of Human Services says the Affordable ARU Funding Program is designed to help address the community’s growing need for long term, stable, affordable rental housing.
