Julie Sawchuk has been named as the Sandra Thompson Memorial Accessibility Champion award winner with multiple businesses and organizations in Huron County honoured with accessibility awards.
The Huron County Accessibility Advisory Committee has named the recipients of the awards on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
Julie, a former member of the accessibility committee helped contribute exception expertise, particularity in accessible washroom design.
Further, Huronview & Huronlea Homes for the Aged, the Clinton Raceway, The Blyth Inn and Municipality of Huron East were given an award of merit for Barrier-Free Access.
