Bruce Power and its supplier partners have made a $335,000 donation to support various holiday initiatives across Bruce, Grey and Huron Counties.
Bruce Power along with its employees, suppliers, United Way of Bruce Grey and the community at large raised more than $60,000 in support of over 20 local toy drives and hamper programs.
Another $2000 is also being donated to each of the 38 local food banks to help offset the increasing impact of food insecurity.
Meal programs in Walkerton, Chesley, Hanover, Kincardine, Port Elgin and Owen Sound will receive a combined $50,000 as well as Bruce Power supporting local schools and women shelters with $60,000 in grocery store gift cards to local families.
