Brampton Resident Charged in Puslinch Fraud Investigation

A Brampton resident has been charged after a search warrant was executed, stemming from a case of fraud in Puslinch.

In October last year, Wellington County OPP looked into an investment scam involving a victim in Puslinch where the victim lost $500,000 with investigation finding evidence of money laundering.

On March 27th at around 7:15am a search warrant was executed at a home in Brampton.

As a result a 29 year old has been charge with Laundering Proceeds of Crime, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 and Fraud Over $5000.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
