NASA’s Artemis II Launch Mission countdown has begun as London’s Jeremy Hansen does a flyby mission to the moon.
NASA has a targeted launch time of 6:24pm with the crew consisting of NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover and Christina Koch and Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen.
This is the first crewed moon mission in over 50 years with Hansen being the first Canadian to travel this far into space.
All taking part in the mission have been in quarantine under strict health monitoring and completing medical checks to ensure fitness for launch.
The weather forecast shows a 80 per cent chance of favorable weather conditions with primary concerns being cloud coverage and the potential for high winds in the area.
