A flood outlook statement has been issued by Saugeen Conservation given the amount of rainfall and more on the way.
On Sunday, the watershed saw between 10-60mm of rain with the highest amounts occurring along the Lake Huron shoreline and northern parts of the watershed.
Heavy showers are expected to continue today with extended forecasts showing rain through Thursday.
Streams and rivers remain high after rain last week, ground is saturated across the watershed and have a limit ability to aboard the extra rainfall.
While significant flooding isn’t expected, the possibility of flooding in low lying areas of the watershed does exist.
