It’s an election year in Bruce County and residents interested in taking a run at municipal council are being invited to a Candidates Information Night next month.
The municipal elections will be held on October 26th for local councils and school boards.
This workshop is designed to provide residents with a clear and realistic understanding of what serving as an elected official involves such as how municipal government works, the roles and responsibilities of council members and the ethical and legal obligations of public office.
The workshop is being held in Walkerton at the Bruce County Administration Centre on May 14th starting at 6pm.
