The Municipality of Kincardine is warning businesses and event organizers of a third party contacting groups about having their events be advertised on their website.
The municipality is reminding those hosting events that the official tourism site of Kincardine Welcomes is the municipality’s official tourism site, a free collaborative platform to support local businesses and events.
The municipality does not manage or update other websites where space is available for purchase.
While businesses are free to choose where to advertise, the municipality says only they operate Kincardine Welcomes.
