Grey Highlands has more updates with the ongoing restoration of the Markdale Arena following the fire in 2025.
The municipality says they recognize the importance of the arena and the disappointment from the community with a revised reopening timeline.
During the restoration process, more work was found to be needed to address soot and fire related damage to portions of the arena’s wooden roof structure.
Based on the current project schedule, restoration work is expected to be done in mid-November.
The Markdale Community Hall remains open and available for regular use over the course of arena restoration.
