The Municipality of Kincardine is calling on the province for better protections in regards to the proposed Data Centre Playbook.
The municipality wants ensure municipalities and communities are better positioned to manage the potential impacts while maximizing the opportunities associated with large scale data centre development.
Recommendations include to require formal municipal support, protect local water resources, increase transparency and establish noise standards.
The province continues to collect feedback on the matter until September 12th.
