The Sweetwater Music Festival in Owen Sound has seen the benefits from the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
MPP Paul Vickers attended the festival to see the work of a $29,000 Seed grant in 2024.
Since then the festival has created SweetStrings, a new community strings ensemble designed for adult, amateur musicians who want to explore or re-discover a love of music.
The ensemble will also strengthen connections among professional artists, community musicians and local audiences.
Natasha Bood, General Manager of SweetWater Music Festival says SweetStrings has allowed them to share the excitement of connection of live classical music with more people across the region.
