Brightshores Health System has responded to an incident which occurred at the Markdale hospital on Monday.
Police responded to the incident of a patient exhibiting aggressive behaviour in the emergency department.
The incident was witnessed by patients, families and visitors with the health system apologizing for those affected adding the safety of patients, families, staff and physicians is the highest priority.
Violence, threats and aggressive behaviour towards healthcare workers will not be accepted with teams having the right to be in a safe environment.
