A test of Canada’s Alert Ready System is doing done this afternoon.
The test message and alarm will be sound on TV, radio and wireless devices across every province and territory at scattered times.
In Ontario the test will take place at 12:55pm.
The system is usually tested in May and November to ensure its working and that officials can practice issuing alerts for emergencies such as wildfires, Amber Alerts and tornadoes.
