Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MP Alex Ruff says Monday’s resignation of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau changes nothing.
Ruff in a statement says when Canada needs leadership to deal with the threat of US President-elect Donald Trump’s 25% tariffs, the Prime Minister chose his party over the country.
Ruff didn’t hold back saying those in Trudeaus own party who wanted him out still stand on his policies.
“The same Liberal and NDP politicians who called for the Prime Ministers resignation supported the policies which resulted in high food prices, doubling the housing costs, a 50 per cent increase in violent crimes and the confiscation of hunting rifles from law abiding citizens.” said Ruff.
Ruff adds he’s heard from residents across the riding who are calling for an election now.
