Following the discovery that Alice Munro was aware of her husbands sexual assault on her daughter, the Alice Munro Festival of Short Story is disbanding.
The festival committee had voted to disband last month with the festival sending its thanks to the volunteers for the last 20 years of support.
While the festival has ended, the Short Story contest will continue with the Huron County Library.
Any left funds from the festival will be donated to charities supporting women and youth.
