The Alexandra Marine & General Hospital has signed a purchase agreement with Siemens Healthineers Canada for their MRI machine.
The purchase comes after months of planning to find the right MRI technology and understand the space, workflow and operational requirements needed to bring these services to the hospital.
The selected 1.5 MAGNETOM Flow Elite MRI will feature advanced technology designed to enhance experiences for patients, staff and physicians.
Fundraising efforts continue to build on this and boost the project.
The next phase will focus on issuing the RFP for construction with the goal of breaking ground next fall.
