There is a Social Media Campaign running in April as part of Parkinson’s Awareness Month.

The “I Love Someone with Parkinson’s” campaign celebrates the person living with the diseason, whether it’s a family member, co-worker or a friend with Parkinson’s. It lets everyone know you care.

The Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario has a website setup for the campaign that offers additional information on the diseason, easy ways to spread the word and awareness and a link to donate towards the cause.

There are over 100,000 Canadians living with Parkinson’s and over 10,000 in Ontario alone. The average age of onset of the disease is 60 years and incidence increase with age.
