Autism Ontario are hoping people will use a flag to show their support for those living with autism.

This Saturday is World Autism Awareness Day and, as part of that, Autism Ontario are having a contest where they are encouraging everyone to design a flag using a spectrum of colours.

Celebrate the Spectrum is this year’s theme and Beth Blackwell, a Family Support Worker at Community Living Kincardine and District, says people can get creative with designing their flag.

She says people with autism have different experiences and it is important for others to understand that.

Deadline for submissions is April 15th and more information can be found by going to the Autism Ontario website.
