Bell Canada has issued a response a letter sent by Town of Saugeen Shores Mayor Luke Charbonneau to the company back on Friday, September 8th.

It followed multiple Bell service outages in the Municipality impacting cellular, landline and internet service.

The mayor had requested a response from BCE President & CEO Mirko Bibic.

In the response dated September 14th Bell Canada’s Executive VP Robert Malcolmson attributes the issues to four separate incidents with two involving criminal vandalism & damage to their infrastructure by constructure crews working in the area and another by a resident digging on their property.

In each time Malcolmson states their crews worked as fast as possible to restore service in the community.

He added that a member of the Bell team would reach out to the Municipality to discuss the matter further.
