Bluewater set to implement Short-Term Rental Licensing in Stages

Bayfield launches July 4th, Hay West July 25th and all remaining wards including Stanley East & West, Hay East, Hensall and Zurich on August 15th. There is a $750 non-refundable fee due with each registration.

Applications are now being accepted for the Municipality of Bluewater’s Short-term rental licensing program.

The programs aims to balance the economic benefits of short-term rentals with the needs of the neighbourhoods where they exist.

It ensures the safety of operators, renters and neighbours. All existing & new residential short-term rentals must apply for a license. Existing rentals will be exempted from location limits setout in the by-law.

Applications will be considered and issued on a ward-by-ward basis.
