The Lions Club of Blyth made a generous donation in support of youth in their community recently with an $800 donation to the Blyth Kids Club.
The group offers drop-in Soccer, Ball Hockey, Roller-Hockey and Games & Craft Nights at Blyth Arena.
One of the Founders of the Club Megan Lee-Gahan explains what additional benefits will come from the donation.
“The Lions Club have graciously donated money so we can do free outdoor movies for the full community and surrounding areas.”
The Lions Club say the group has offered a great additional use of the local area says member John Stewart.
“We want to see our arena used. We don’t want to see it sitting empty or vacant. This is just a great program.”
The first movie night offered free to the community is Friday, June 30th around 8pm in Blyth Lions Park.
