Huron County OPP are turning to the public after a body was found floating in the water off the Goderich Pier.
OPP, emergency services and the Canadian Coast Guard responded after a call of a body in the water just before 12pm.
The person was taken to Goderich Hospital who was identified as a 66 year old woman from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh who was pronounced deceased after extensive life saving efforts.
The Office of the Chief Coroner has been notified to determine the cause of death.
