Local police have closed their portion of an investigation after human skeletal remains were found at the Southampton compost site.
Saugeen Shores Police and Grey Bruce OPP launched an investigation following the discovery on Thursday, with a heavy police presence around the area of Concession 14 and Bruce Road 13.
After a thorough examination by a forensic anthropologist, it has been determined the remains are historic in nature and will not be part of a criminal investigation.
