Bruce County council has directed staff to start the engagement process on a draft of the new Official Plan.
The new plan will set out the land use planning direction for the county up to 2046.
Dubbed “Plan the Bruce” which was first started in 2018 by the county planning and development department, the goal is to create a new county Official Plan with the current plan being adopted in 1997 with its last comprehensive update in 2010.
The draft of the new plan is available for public feedback with a series of public open houses to discuss the plan.
