Bruce County was present at a recently Long-Term Care Roundtable Session held in Blyth on Friday, March 3rd.

Also present at the event was area MPP for Huron-Bruce Lisa Thompson, Minister of Long-Term Care Paul Calandra and various Long Term Care operators from Huron and Bruce.

A variety of topics impacting the industry were discussed including agency staff, the human resource crisis in healthcare, the PSW program, Resident Support Aid positions, funding Nurse Practitioners and innovations in technology that support high quality care.

Bruce County operates two Long Term Care Homes; one in Wiarton, Gateway Haven and one in Walkerton, Brucelea Haven.
